Get Tested for COVID-19
The options below are recommended for UGA faculty and staff. UGA students should contact the University Health Center to access testing services. Note: Only PCR nasal test sites are listed here, as this is the accepted diagnostic tool used to determine if a person has the virus and is at risk of spreading it to others.
1. Georgia Department of Public Health/Mako Medical Labs

Notes: Walk-in testing (drive-up) at both locations, results in 3-7 days. Both locations request that you arrive before dark in order to perform the testing.

6. Athens Free Mobile Clinic

Notes: Spanish speakers available; Free testing for uninsured and underinsured; Appointment only; Department of Public Health processes their lab tests, 7-14 days for results.
7. Athens Neighborhood Health Center

8. Contact your Primary Care Provider
If you have a primary care provider, contact them during their business hours and ask about access to COVID-19 testing. Many local providers (especially those in the Piedmont system) will conduct a telehealth appointment and then refer you to receive a nasal swab test. Note: St. Mary’s healthcare does not have outpatient testing available at this time.
