About Dr. Agaku: Dr. Israel Agaku is a multidisciplinary public health scientist whose career spans academia, government service, and global health leadership. As an adjunct faculty member at the University of California, San Francisco, he brings a systems-level perspective shaped by years of field investigation, methodological innovation, and international collaboration. His work unites methodological rigor with forward-thinking AI solutions designed to drive ethically responsible, next-generation research.
Kev Achievements:
- Health Equity Leadership: Led global outbreak responses as a CDC disease detective, contributing to emergency operations for Ebola and other major public health threats, and serves as Editor-in-Chief of Tobacco Induced Diseases, and Chief Scientific Officer at Chisquares.
- Research Excellence: – Authored 160+ peer-reviewed manuscripts and contributed as an associate editor to the U.S. Surgeon General’s Report.
- Impactful Contributions: – Designed and advanced national surveillance systems, including NHANES, BRFSS, the National Adult Tobacco Survey, the National Youth Tobacco Survey, and the Global Youth Tobacco Survey.
With three doctoral degrees and a deep commitment to strengthening public health infrastructure, Dr. Agaku continues to influence the field through research, mentorship, and scientific leadership roles across journals and industry.
