deATH Café – Hosted by the Institute of Gerontology
Join us on Sunday, October 16 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. as the Loran Smith Center for Cancer Support opens the doors to the Griffin-DuBose Healing Lodge to host the deATH Café facilitated by the Institute of Gerontology at UGA’s College of Public Health. Co-sponsors include Piedmont Athens Regional and the Office of Outreach, Engagement, and Equity at the UGA College of Public Health.
Death Café is an international organization, started by Jon Underwood in the UK, that aims to create an open, affirming space to talk about death without judgement or an agenda. Everyone is welcome to join in conversation or to merely listen.
We would love for you to join us for tea, cake, and a conversation about death. While participation is free, registration via Eventbrite is requested. Please note, this is not a grief group.
