EHSC 8030 Seminar Series – Andrew Grundstein
Friday, March 14th, the EHS department will be welcoming Andrew Grundstein!
Andrew Grundstein is a Professor of Geography and a member of the Atmospheric Sciences program at the University of Georgia. His research focuses on the intersection of weather, climate, and human health, with a particular emphasis on monitoring heat exposure, assessing the health impacts of heat, and developing heat safety policies.
Dr. Grundstein’s work on heat and health has received support from organizations such as the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He currently serves on the Medical and Science Advisory Boards for the Korey Stringer Institute and the National Heat Safety Coalition, and has acted as a climate expert for the International Olympic Committee and World Athletics. Dr. Grundstein is also a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Biometeorology.
