EHSC 8030 Seminar Series – Elisabeth Drake
Friday, April 18th, the EHS department will be welcoming Elisabeth Drake!
Elisabeth Drake is a third-year Ph.D. student in Environmental Health Science under the advisement of Dr. Erin Lipp. Elisabeth completed her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health Science in 2022 from the University of Georgia. Her current research focuses on the role that waterborne pathogens have on an urban stream ecosystem. She is in the process of evaluating a 6-month daily time series to identify and assess population dynamics and microbial composition of naturally occurring pathogens, like Vibrio and Aeromonas in a freshwater stream. Outside of the lab, she is the president of the EHS Graduate Student Association and has a leadership role for the Athens Science Café.
