Environmental Health Alumni Panel – Careers at the CDC and “local” Private Industry

The Department of Environmental Health Science will host a special alumni panel Friday, January 27, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. focused highlighting career opportunities available in environmental health science. Everyone is welcome to attend this virtual Zoom session! Special guests are:

• Megan Beaudry, PhD (Feb 2022), works as a study manager for Azenta Life Sciences. Her company employs bioinformaticians, wet lab scientists, and technical application specialists.
• Monica Chan, MS (2016), is working on PhD while also working full time as Microbiologist at the CDC. Her group employs bioinformaticians & laboratorians as contractors, fellows (ORISE, APHL), & student workers.
• Julia Frederick, PhD (Dec. 2022), works as a contractor in the influenza division at the CDC. Her group hires folks with lab and bioinformatics experience to conduct high throughput DNA sequencing and analysis.
