Speaker Bio: Dr. Ye Shen obtained his BS and MS from Fudan University and a Ph.D. in Biostatistics from Yale School of Public Health. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Biostatistics in the College of Public Health at the University of Georgia. Dr. Ye’s research interests in methodological development include joint modeling of longitudinal and event data, spatial statistics, missing data analysis, machine learning, study design and robust methods in clinical trials. He also has a broad interest in disease epidemiology and modeling. His recent work covers major infectious diseases such as Human Influenza A/B (universal vaccine), Avian Influenza A/H7N9, COVID-19, HIV, TB, and Neglected Tropical Diseases (Schistosomiasis), as well as a range of chronic diseases including Famine-related CVD, Metabolic Syndrome, Neurological Disorders in Children, and Cognitive Disorders with Aging. Dr. Ye is active in the scientific community and currently serves as an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Pharmacology.
