Global Health Experiential Learning Poster Day

Please join us on Thursday, April 25 at 4:00 p.m. in the Wright Hall Annex Auditorium on the UGA Health Sciences Campus, for the Global Health Experiential Learning Poster Day. The event, hosted by the UGA Global Health Union, will feature poster presentations from undergraduate and graduate students engaged in global health related research and experiential learning.
The event with kick-off with a special seminar on “Minority Health and Health Disparity Research – The need for action” from CPH alumna Dr. Isabel Maria Roldos. The student poster session will follow this talk. Light snacks will be served.
Speaker’s Bio: Dr. Isabel Maria Roldos holds a Doctor in Public Health degree from UGA awarded in 2012, in addition to two Master’s degree, one in Public Administration from NYU and another in Public Policy and Economics from GSU. Dr. Roldos currently works at the National Institute of Health (NIH) in the National Institute of Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) as a scientist health policy analyst at the Office of Science Policy, Strategic Planning, Assessment, Reporting and Data (OSPARD). Dr. Roldos has also served as an adjunct professor in global health at University of Georgia since 2013 to-date, teaching courses in Global Health Policy and Global Health Systems for graduate students.
