Speaker Bio: Dr. Hansen’s research focuses on the intersection of traumatic stressors, particularly interpersonal violence, and negative health consequences such as psychiatric disorders, substance abuse, and sexual risk behavior. As a Clinical Health Psychologist, Dr. Hansen’s work primarily focuses on the treatment of traumatic stress and substance use among domestic and international populations living with or at risk for HIV infection. His current research portfolio includes projects in New York, Connecticut, Georgia, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and India.
