Helminth-Microbe Coinfection: Insights from the Wild
Dr. Vanessa Ezenwa, Odum School of Ecology
Speaker Biography: Dr. Ezenwa is a professor of ecology and evolutionary biology in the Odum School of Ecology and Department of Infectious Disease in College of Veterinary Medicine. Her research focuses on infectious diseases in wild animal populations, with a specific focus on linking processes across scales of biological organization. Work in Dr. Ezenwa’s lab combines field studies with molecular and theoretical approaches to address key questions about the dynamics of parasitism in natural systems. Her current work is based in western U.S and sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Ezenwa is also PI and Program Director of the Interdisciplinary Disease Ecology Across Scales (IDEAS), an NSF-funded training program for PhD students.
