Dr. Haider’s research involves developing and evaluating theoretically sound and culturally appropriate interventions to alleviate mental health problems and stigma through trauma-informed and resilience-based approaches among populations who are historically marginalized to improve HIV prevention and care, hepatitis care, and substance use treatment and harm reduction. His current research portfolio includes projects in Georgia, South Carolina, Bangladesh, and sub-Saharan African countries. Dr. Haider is a physician by training and obtained his PhD in Health Services Policy and Management from the University of South Carolina (USC) in 2017. He also completed a post-doctoral training in Big Data Analytics at USC in 2019.
