With a joint appointment in the Department of Financial Planning, Housing, and Consumer Economics, Dr. Ewen is also the Associate Director of Data Analytics for the Housing and Demographic Research Center. Dr. Ewen’s research is on the role of environment on aging, including relocation-decision making, behaviors related to aging-in-place, use of home and community based support services. Recently she has researched the effects of administrator and staff needs for addressing bereavement among residents of senior housing, and the roles of residential service coordinators in low-income senior housing.
