Ms. Hughes serves as the Practice Coordinator and is responsible for coordinating practice experiences for graduate students within the College of Public Health. She is the liaison between the student and the external organization, making sure the experience meets criteria established by the college and our accrediting body. She processes the memos of understanding through the university legal structure to support these experiences and monitor and evaluate student progress through the experience. In this position, she is also responsible for assisting our students as they graduate and enter the field. This includes directing their development of a portfolio of their work, providing skill sessions to prepare them to enter the field, and helping monitor their progress post-graduation.
