Master of Health Administration (MHA)

Abby Borden is a second year graduate student in the Master of Health Administration (MHA) program. She is from Atlanta, GA, and graduated from Clemson University in 2021 with a B.S. in Health Science and a concentration in Health Services Administration. Abby is a current Graduate Research Assistant in the College of Public Health. After graduation, Abby wants to work in an administrative position in a hospital system. One day, Abby hopes to be a director in a hospital where she can work to improve patient care experience by strategizing and innovating problem-solving processes to foster and build an environment that focuses on patient-centered care.

Roles & Responsibilities

Graduate Research Assistant: Aug 2022 – Present
• Assist Dr. Adams with data analysis and report writing for the five domains of the Athens Wellbeing Project (AWP)
• Develop social media posts using AWP data as well as communicate and complete administrative duties for AWP Graduate Assistant Graduate Assistant: Aug 2021 – June 2022
• Prepared for the College of Public Health reaccreditation through a department analysis under the Department Head of Health Policy and Management
• Collected and organized county level social determinants of health data in Georgia for further analysis
