Carrie Crocker

Undergraduate Ambassador, Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion (BSHP)

My name is Carrie Crocker, and I am a third-year health promotion major. I am from the small town of Oakwood, Georgia and have been a Dawg fan since I can remember. I switched my major four times before deciding on health promotion, and settling into where I am now was the best decision I could have made for myself.

I see myself as a labor and delivery or NICU nurse in the future, but the fundamentals of public health offer a more preventative mindset to health issues that the medical field does not. For this reason, health promotion is making me a more well-rounded individual mindful of things other than medicine that play a role in people’s well-being. I will take what I am learning and apply it to my duties as a nurse to provide the best care possible to all of the people that I encounter.
