Cassie Hulme

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Epidemiology & Biostatistics

Cassie is a PhD student in Epidemiology. She previously received her B.S. in Biology with a minor in Spanish from Young Harris College and her MPH in Epidemiology with a certificate in Disaster Management from the University of Georgia. During her masters program, she interned with St. Mary’s Hospital in infection control where she gained an interest in studying antibiotic resistance and hospital infection control strategies. Her additional research interests lie in the field of clinical epidemiology. She is currently working as a Research Assistant under Dr. Mark Ebell on a study whose purpose is to better understand lower respiratory tract infections in an effort to design tools that physicians can use to make decisions about antibiotic usage and alternative treatments.
