Master of Health Administration (MHA)

Cavel Barnett is a Master of Health Administration student in the College of Public Health at the University of Georgia. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health and completed an internship with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, where she supported community health initiatives and gained hands-on experience in public health practice. She also has professional experience as a site director, where she managed program operations, staff development, and family engagement. Her academic and professional interests focus on healthcare operations, quality improvement, and patient experience. After completing her MHA, Cavel aspires to pursue an administrative fellowship and a career in healthcare leadership, where she can apply her strengths in collaboration and strategic problem-solving to improve health system performance and equity.
