Ellery Yasumoto

Undergraduate Ambassador, Master of Public Health (MPH)

Hi, my name is Ellery Yasumoto! I am a fourth year Health Promotion major from San Luis Obispo, California. I plan to either go to medical school to pursue a career as an OBGYN or go to law school and work on health policy initiatives. I have found my time here at UGA and in the College of Public Health to be very rewarding. The connections I have been able to make with my professors because of the smaller class sizes are something I wasn’t expecting to get coming to a big school like Georgia. Public health has been a great field of study for me to be able to see the different career paths in healthcare work and all of the areas of health that need improvement as we enter the workforce. I am thrilled to be an ambassador for the College of Public Health this year as I cannot speak higher of my experience from my advisor to my peers. Feel free to reach me with any questions!
