Joy Tu

Undergraduate Ambassador, Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion (BSHP)

Hello! My name is Joy, and I am a senior from Gainesville, Georgia, majoring in Health Promotion, Health Services and minoring in Spanish. I plan to earn a Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies after my bachelors.  My first semester at UGA I changed my major three times until I finally discovered the major that truly spoke to my interests.

The College of Public Health has already provided me with so many unique opportunities to grow, and learning about public health has exposed me to another dimension of healthcare that I know will enrich my ability to provide quality medical care to my future patients. My favorite topics we explore in my major are health equity and increasing access to healthcare. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have questions about my major or the pre‐PA track.
