Kia Colbert

Doctor of Public Health (DrPH)

Kia is a second year DrPH student in Health Policy and Management. Her interests include leadership development, HIV/AIDS, and maternal morbidity and mortality focusing on African American women and the disparities that perpetuate disproportionate mortality. She leads a Coordinating Center at Emory University, and a cross-collaborative team comprised of academic institutions and a national HIV/AIDS organization supporting community-based organizations working to address the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the Southern United States to reduce HIV-related health disparities, build awareness, advance education, and reduce stigma.
