Master of Health Administration (MHA)

Maddie Mooney is a first-year Master of Health Administration student at the University of Georgia. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Combined Science and a Minor in Business, graduating Cum Laude from Texas Christian University.

She completed an internship with Texas Health Dallas, supporting the Heart and Vascular Team on initiatives to improve operations and strengthen patient care. This experience fueled her interest in how administrative leadership and clinical teams can work together to drive impact.

Maddie is committed to building more effective, equitable, and patient-focused healthcare systems. Her interests include hospital operations, ambulatory services, and strategies that improve patient outcomes and organizational performance.

Roles & Responsibilities

The College of Public Health at the University of Georgia works to help students through education and community engagement. It prepares its students for careers in public health and healthcare leadership by offering accredited graduate programs. Students research on pressing health issues like aging, AI involvement in healthcare, and health disparities, and have people come in from all over the communities across Georgia to translate their findings in their fields. The College of Public Health plays a vital role in strengthening public health systems and improving health outcomes locally.
