Maddie Mooney
Master of Health Administration (MHA)
Maddie Mooney is a second-year Master of Health Administration student at the University of Georgia. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Combined Science and a Minor in Business, graduating Cum Laude from Texas Christian University.
She completed an internship with Texas Health Dallas, supporting the Heart and Vascular Team on initiatives to improve operations and strengthen patient care. This experience fueled her interest in how administrative leadership and clinical teams can work together to drive impact.
Most recently, Maddie served as the intern to the Director of Business Operations for Nursing Administration at Seattle Children’s Hospital, where she supported financial analysis, workflow optimization, and cross-departmental coordination within a high-acuity pediatric environment. Working alongside nurses, managers, directors and administrators deepened her understanding of how strong relationships across a health system shape the quality of both operational decisions and patient care.
On campus, Maddie serves as Events Chair for UGA’s student chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), organizing programming that connects students with healthcare leaders and strengthens the professional community within the program.
Maddie is committed to building more effective, equitable, and patient-focused healthcare systems. Her interests include hospital operations, ambulatory services, nursing administration, and strategies that improve patient outcomes and organizational performance.Events Chair, UGA Student Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Plan and make calendars for chapter programming, including networking events, guest speaker sessions with healthcare executives, and professional development opportunities for MHA students.
