Yasmin Goreja

Undergraduate Ambassador

Undergraduate Ambassador, Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion (BSHP)

My name is Yasmin, and I am a second-year student studying Health Promotion on a Pre-Occupational Therapy Route. Coming into college, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in health, but I could not find the right major that expressed my interests. When I found out about the College of Public Health, and more specifically, Health Promotion, I was fascinated by how this major can help me fulfill my desire to help others. Public health provides an important service to individuals and communities by promoting healthy lifestyles as well educating the public about disease prevention, which is why I see this major as the creative side to sciences. After finishing my undergraduate degree at UGA, I hope to receive my Masters in Occupational Therapy and become a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!
