Institute for Disaster Management

In her role as a PCIII at the Institute for Disaster Management, Abbey leads and facilitates meetings, develops professional presentations and materials, and works closely with external partners to keep projects moving forward. She plays a key role in designing and supporting disaster training exercises, including large-scale initiatives focused on mass casualty incident preparedness in major cities. Abbey also supports graduate-level courses, facilitates disaster simulations, and is currently drafting a manuscript for publication. Her work reflects a balance of hands-on training, academic engagement, and collaboration with public health and emergency management professionals to strengthen preparedness efforts across Georgia and beyond.
