The Office of Academic Affairs at the College of Public Health directs efforts in curriculum processes, online learning, and student services.

Students Services

The Office of Academic Affairs provides a full range of services and resources to support students and prospective students from application through graduation. The Office works with programs and departments both within the college and across the university to provide students with academic advising, course registration, and field experience opportunities, as well as connect them with student organizations, extracurricular experiences, and career development possibilities.

Course Planning and Support

The Office of Academic Affairs supports faculty members and instructors in their efforts to provide effective and innovative teaching through course planning and curricular initiatives.

Incomplete Courses:
If a student fails to complete a course during the registered semester, they must work with the instructor of record prior to the end of the term to complete an Incomplete Grade Form.  A copy should be kept by the student, instructor, and main office of departmental prefix.

Course Approval Process Automation (CAPA):
The College’s guidelines for CAPA course proposals and changes can be found here: CPH CAPA Guidelines [PDF].

Course Syllabi:
Current course syllabi can be searched using the following website: https://syllabus.uga.edu/Browse.aspx. Syllabi are also listed by prefix in the University of Georgia Bulletin, which is updated at the start of each semester and can be found online at https://bulletin.uga.edu. Click the “Courses” tab, and search by Course Prefix and Number to access the syllabi for the desired course.

All students in the College of Public Health enrolled in a classroom-based course will be provided with a course syllabus by the first day of class each semester. Syllabi will comply with the University established syllabus policy. The College’s current syllabus policy and development guidelines are available here: CPH Syllabus Policy [PDF].
