Doctoral Dissertation Defense: Clayton Edenfield, PhD Candidate in Environmental Health

Clayton Edenfield, a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Environmental Health Science, will defend his doctoral dissertation – “EHS DEVELOPING ADVANCED MODEL SYSTEMS TO ASSESS THE IMPACT OF ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURES ON MALE REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH: FOCUS ON ALCOHOL, SARS-COV-2, AND THE BLOOD-TESTIS BARRIER” –  on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 11:30 am in Room G05 in Aderhold Hall on South Campus. All are welcome to attend!

Clayton Edenfield is a Ph.D. Candidate and researcher in the lab of Dr. Chas Easley. Clayton Edenfield’s research focuses on the development of advanced model systems to assess the impact of environmental exposures on male reproductive health with an emphasis on alcohol, SARS-CoV-2, and the blood-testis barrier. He received his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from the University of Georgia in 2018, when he also worked as a research assistant in the Easley lab working on spermatogenesis and the epigenetic effect of flame retardants on male fertility.
