Partners in Health will be hosting Professional Panel discussion on the topic of “Racism in Healthcare” on November 1, 2023 at 6pm on Zoom. They will have three distinguished speakers from UGA (our own Tamora Callands, Associate Professor, HPB), Emory, and Berry College who will share their research findings on how racism has influenced health outcomes. The event has been organized in honor of Dr. Paul Farmer’s birthday, the founder of Partners in Health, and aims to raise awareness of the critical issue of racism in healthcare and to highlight PIH’s efforts in advancing equitable healthcare on a global scale.
