I  joined the College of Public Health at University of Georgia (UGA) as tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management in the Fall 2021. Prior to joining UGA, I worked as a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Ohio University for two years (2019-2021). I completed my PhD from the University of South Carolina (UofSC) and worked as a Post Doctoral Fellow for the Arnold School of Public Health at the UofSC. As a Post Doctoral Fellow in an NIH-funded Big Data project on HIV/AIDS patients in South Carolina at the Center for Health Care Quality, Arnold School of Public Health, UofSC. I got my PhD in Health Services Policy and Management (HSPM) from UofSC . Prior to pursuing my PhD study, I have also earned masters’ degrees in Health Economics and Population Sciences and the bachelor degree in Medicine. By combining my clinical training as a physician with other trainings in public health, epidemiology, economics, sociology, and behavioral sciences, I have gained experience in different fields that directly or indirectly affect health of the population.
