Hi! My name is Katie Bonilla and I am a 3rd year Health Promotion major from Lawrenceville, GA. I am also in the Double Dawgs program pursing my MPH in Epidemiology. As I approached college, I realized the importance of public health work in today’s society and began to see a future as an epidemiologist. I am interested in minority health and maternal health and hope to conduct meaningful research that helps these communities. The College of Public Health has provided incredible opportunities to be a part of impactful research that has furthered my passion to create change. The amazing staff and faculty exhibit their passion towards public health and are always there to provide advice and mentorship. Through the courses and opportunities, I am positive I have the skills to pursue my goals and create a healthier future for communities that are more at risk of negative health outcomes.
