Individuals who wish to work at the intersection of business and public health can earn both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master in Public Health (MPH) in three years through this accelerated program. MBA-MPH students first complete a full year of courses in the MPH program at the College of Public Health; followed by a year of courses in the MBA program at UGA Terry College of Business. The final year features content from both programs.

The Juris Doctorate (JD) – Master of Public Health (MPH) dual degree program integrates legal and public health knowledge and skills at the professional and scholarly level. To be eligible for the JD-MPH dual degree program, applicants must apply separately and be admitted into both the JD program at the UGA School of Law and MPH program at the College of Public Health. Requirements for admission for each individual degree program must be met for consideration for the dual degree program, with the exception that the MPH program has agreed to waive the GRE requirement and consider LSAT scores instead. Physicians who pursue advanced training through a MPH degree are able to recognize the scope of health problems, address specific populations in need, and match resources that will protect and promote health for individuals and communities.  Students admitted into the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at the Augusta University/UGA Medical Partnership can pursue an accelerated MPH degree through the UGA College of Public Health. Through the UGA Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) – Master of Public Health dual degree program, students matriculate through the College of Pharmacy’s professional pharmacy (PharmD) program and the College of Public Health’s MPH program with the same total coursework requirements for each degree. The PharmD courses taken for graduate credit will entail additional course assignments over and above the requirements for traditional PharmD students for those courses taken for MPH credit.

The program is only open only to students who have been accepted into the UGA PharmD program. Interested applicants must apply to the Summer term following their first year in PharmD. The summer application deadline is March 1.

The Master of Social Work (MSW) and Master of Public Health (MPH) dual degree program at the University of Georgia provides students with an interdisciplinary education using biopsychosocial and epidemiological perspectives to address critical health issues at the local, state, national, and international levels. Students must apply and be admitted to both the MSW program in the UGA School of Social Work and the MPH program in the College of Public Health to be eligible for this program. This five-year, concurrent dual degree program allows students to pursue both a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree at the University of Georgia.  Students who have already been accepted in the Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program at the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine can apply for the program upon the completion of their sophomore year.
