Spencer J. Fox is an Assistant Professor jointly appointed in the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics and Institute of Bioinformatics at the University of Georgia. Before joining UGA he was the Associate Director of the UT COVID-19 Modeling Consortium. Spencer obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and subsequently obtained a PhD from the Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior program at UT Austin with Dr. Lauren Ancel Meyers. His research focuses on integrating biology, epidemiology, statistics, and computation to understand pandemic emergence risk and response with a focus on emerging infectious diseases.
