Laurel Kessinger

Undergraduate Ambassador

Undergraduate Ambassador, Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion (BSHP)

Hello! My name is Laurel Kessinger and I am from Roswell, GA. I am a fourth-year Health Promotion student with a minor in Health Policy & Management and Pre-Law emphasis. Before coming to UGA I was unsure of what career I wanted for myself, but I always knew I wanted something pertaining to the healthcare field. With the guidance of phenomenal professors and a myriad of fascinating classes provided by the College of Public Health, my knowledge and passion surrounding the health of individuals and communities has grown more than I ever imagined. This program challenges students to see the world from different perspectives and incorporates thought-provoking societal implications, which has enabled me to evaluate the intersection between science and health policy. Upon graduation, I plan to attend law school to further my studies on healthcare law. Outside of the College of Public Health, I am also a Pre-Law Ambassador as well as the Advocacy Coordinator for International Justice Mission. Both of these positions have enabled me to work with individuals within the community to best serve students, which is exactly what I plan to do for you! Please feel free to reach out with any questions & Go Dawgs!
