Committee on Academic and Community Engagement

Academic and community engagement are at the core of College’s identity, and these values are essential to achieving our vision of a healthier, safer, more equitable world for all in Georgia and beyond.

The College of Public Health is working to create and maintain an environment that welcomes and supports all members of the CPH community. We strive to conduct our work and practice with cultural humility and a willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of our students, faculty, and staff and the communities we serve.

College Committee on Academic and Community Engagement

The College Committee on Academic and Community Engagement is composed of faculty representatives from each department, as well as both undergraduate and graduate student representatives. The committee meets monthly and is charged with listening to members of the college community and recommending policies and procedures that will meet the College’s intended goals.

This includes engaging our on- and off-campus communities and bringing together individuals with varied pasts and perspectives in order to create a workplace that encourages academic excellence and an environment that improves the health of communities in Georgia and beyond.
