How to Apply for a CPH Undergraduate Degree
Step 1: Apply to UGA
See UGA undergraduate admissions process.
Step 2: Declaring a CPH Major in…
Environmental Health. Any currently enrolled UGA student can pursue a major in environmental health science in the College of Public Health. There is no special entrance requirements or application process. Applicants can mark environmental health on the application for admission. Current UGA students can change or add a major in Environmental Health by logging into Athena and following these instructions:
- Select the “Student” tab
- Select “My Programs”
- Add the major you would like before deleting your current major
- Emphasis areas, minors and certificates can also be added/deleted in this area.
Once the Environmental Health major is added, students are asked to make an appointment with the CPH Academic Advising Office for an introduction to the College, the degree program, and the CPH advising process. Please visit the B.S. in Environmental Health page for detailed information about the degree program. If you have any additional questions, please contact Heather McEachern.
Health Promotion. Due to the high demand for the health promotion major, the College of Public Health requires currently enrolled UGA students to submit both an application and essay for admission into the degree program. In addition, certain prerequisites need to be met before a student can apply. Please visit the B.S. in Health Promotion page for detailed information on the application process. Applications are accepted each Fall and Spring Semester. Please contact Heather McEachern at (706) 542-3187 with any questions.
