Lisa Renzi-Hammond, director of the Institute of Gerontology and co-director of the CARE Center, was quoted in a story on an alumni’s gift to the CARE Center on the UGA Foundation‘s blog.

Andrea Swartzendurber, associate professor of epidemiology & biostatistics, was quoted on KCUR (NPR in Kansas City) on CPCs spread of misinformation, and the CPC map was referenced in The Independent.

Tamora Callands, associate professor of health promotion & behavior, was mentioned as co-investigator of a study on sex trafficking in UGA Today.

Christopher Whalen, director of the Global Health Institute and Karen and Jim Holbrook Distinguished Professor in Global Health, was mentioned for receiving an honorary doctorate of science from Makerere University in Uganda in Soft Power News.

A study by epidemiology & biostatistics doctoral student Heejung Son and health policy & management associate professor Zhuo “Adam” Chen which found racial and geographic disparities in cardiovascular disease received media coverage from WGAU, Science Daily, The Georgia Sun, KPVI, MedicalXpress, EurekAlert!, Pharmacy Times, and more.
