UGA College of Public Health news and media mentions for the month of October 2023:

Andrea Swartzendruber, associate professor of epidemiology & biostatistics,  was quoted in a story in Stateline on the role faith-based maternity homes play in states with strict abortion bans. 

CPC Map, a project led by Swartzendruber and EPIBIO assistant professor Danielle Lambert, was cited in news coverage on the lawsuits Yelp and Texas’ Attorney General brought against each other over the definition of crisis pregnancy centers, including NBC News, Mashable, and Daily Kos

A study led by Janani Thapa, associate professor of health policy & management, which looked at the rates of depression and anxiety by race and gender during the pandemic, was covered by UGA Today, USA Today, CNBC, Atlanta Journal Constitution, and WSB Radio, among others.
