Dr. Katie Hein, assistant professor of health promotion and behavior, was quoted in a news piece in the Red and Black about the Affordable Care Act’s birth control mandate and its recent halt by the United State Supreme Court.

Katie Hein, assistant professor in UGA’s College of Public Health, said she feels this legal battle will not unravel the recent advancements in providing better access to birth control.

“I suspect that there will be no going back,” Hein said. “Women who now have access to birth control at no cost are unlikely to give that up easily.”
